Wall and Ceiling Shower Arms in Straight and Angled Styles

The shower arm determines where a fixed head sits relative to the wall or ceiling. A short wall arm and a ceiling drop can use similar heads but place the spray differently. Paradise Kitchens sells shower arms in straight, right-angle and upswept shapes, including compact ceiling drops and wall projections around 150–210 mm in selected listings. Shop online by mounting location and connection requirements, then check how far the head will sit from the tiles.

Match the arm projection to a compatible shower head, and compare shower sets and systems if you also need a handheld outlet.

  • Wall projection: Straight arms move a fixed head away from tiled walls by a stated distance.
  • Right-angle arms: An angled arm changes the position of the head relative to the water outlet.
  • Ceiling drops: Selected drop arms allow a head to hang from an approved ceiling-mounted connection.
  • Flanges and cover plates: Matching trim covers the wall or ceiling penetration but does not replace correct sealing.
  • Connection and load: Threads, projection and permitted head weight should match the showerhead and building connection.

For a ceiling-mounted option, Caroma Urbane II has a 300 mm shower arm. Use that measurement as a reference when comparing ceiling drops with wall arms, rather than choosing by colour alone.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers about our design, manufacturing, installation, showroom and quoting process. Learn how Paradise Kitchens can help make your Sydney renovation simpler from start to finish.

What is a shower arm used for?

It connects a fixed shower head to a wall or ceiling water outlet and positions the spray. Paradise Kitchens stocks different arm shapes for compatible fixed heads.

Can I replace a straight shower arm with a curved one?

Sometimes, if the pipe connection, required projection and installation loads suit the replacement. Check that the shower head still sits inside the enclosure.

Is a ceiling-mounted shower arm different from a wall arm?

Yes. It connects at the ceiling and uses a different mounting orientation. The building connection and head support must be appropriate for that arrangement.

What projection should I choose for a rain shower head?

Measure the desired spray centre in the enclosure and work back to the wall or ceiling outlet. The arm length needs to suit the actual shower head size.

Are black shower arms available?

Selected products use matte black and brushed metal finishes. Paradise Kitchens also offers shower mixer taps in related finishes to coordinate the controls.

Can I fit a large head to any existing shower arm?

Not automatically. Confirm connection size, head weight and any limits on the projection. Use the manufacturer's compatibility and mounting instructions.
