Back-to-Wall and Close-Coupled Toilet Suites for Renovations

A toilet that fits the showroom display may not line up with the waste outlet in your existing bathroom. Paradise Kitchens sells toilet suites and pans from Caroma and other brands in back-to-wall, wall-faced, close-coupled and selected wall-hung formats, including standard white and some coloured ceramic options. Shop online by the set-out and mounting type first, then compare rimless pan designs, seat inclusions and dual-flush specifications. An installation diagram is more useful than the outside height alone. The RAK Washington close-coupled suite and Stylus Venecia connector suite are two named models worth checking when the existing waste location limits your options.

If the pan is sound, inspect toilet seats for a simpler replacement. If flushing hardware is the issue, check cisterns and flush systems.

  • Back-to-wall suites: The pan sits close to the wall and needs the right waste connection and concealed service layout.
  • Close-coupled options: A cistern fixed to the pan uses defined mounting holes and a matching pan arrangement.
  • Wall-hung pans: These require an approved concealed support frame and compatible cistern or flush system.
  • Rimless bowls: Selected models use rimless flushing, with model-specific cleaning and wash-down performance.
  • Waste set-out: S-trap and P-trap positions determine whether the pan suits the existing floor or wall drain.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers about our design, manufacturing, installation, showroom and quoting process. Learn how Paradise Kitchens can help make your Sydney renovation simpler from start to finish.

What is a back-to-wall toilet?

Its pan is designed to sit close against the finished wall, often concealing pipework. Paradise Kitchens lists different back-to-wall formats, but the waste set-out must suit your bathroom.

Can I replace an S-trap toilet with a P-trap toilet?

Not as a simple swap. S-trap toilets discharge through the floor and P-trap toilets through the wall; changes may require plumbing alterations.

Do toilet suites include a seat?

Many do, but inclusions vary. Check whether the seat, cistern, fixing kit and flush controls are supplied with the selected suite.

Does a wall-hung toilet save space?

It can leave floor space visible, but the concealed frame and cistern need suitable wall depth and structure. The overall installation footprint needs measuring.

Are dual-flush toilets more water efficient?

Compare the actual WELS rating and flush volumes for the model, rather than assuming efficiency from the presence of two buttons. Paradise Kitchens also lists flush plates and buttons for compatible systems.

Can I purchase the toilet seat separately later?

Usually if a matching seat remains available. Identify the pan series and measure the hinge spacing, then compare toilet seats before ordering.
